Our Story
Vh Essentials® was founded in 2019 by Amanda Jones, a registered nurse and women’s health advocate. As a labor and delivery nurse, Amanda witnessed firsthand the issues many women faced with vaginal infections, irritation, odor, and discomfort. She became frustrated by the lack of effective over-the-counter options for these common concerns. Amanda was determined to create better solutions, and Vh Essentials® was born.
After researching vaginal health, consulting with doctors and naturopaths, and testing numerous formulations, Amanda launched our first products – Vh Essentials® Probiotic Suppositories and Vh Essentials® Feminine Wash. These products quickly became top-sellers, helping thousands of women achieve feminine freshness and balance.
Since then, we have expanded our product line to provide a complete system for vaginal care, adding essential supplements, wipes, and personal lubricants. Our commitment to quality ingredients and effective formulations has made Vh Essentials® a trusted brand for women nationwide.
Our Products

- Prebiotics: Prebiotics provide “food” for healthy vaginal bacteria. We select natural prebiotics like honey and chicory root.
- Lactic acid: A vaginal acidifier that helps maintain optimal pH below 4.5. Naturally found in the vagina.
- Boric acid: A mild antifungal with pH balancing properties. Widely used and recommended by gynecologists.
- Botanicals: We harness the soothing, protective properties of aloe vera, calendula, chamomile, and other botanicals. USDA certified organic when possible.
- Emollients: Natural moisturizers like coconut oil, shea butter, and vitamin E soothe irritated tissues.
- Hyaluronic acid: Helps restore moisture and elasticity due to its incredible water-binding properties. Gently hydrates delicate vaginal tissue.
- Essential oils: Small amounts of lemon, tea tree, and clary sage oils give our washes and wipes a light, natural scent.
- Hypoallergenic: All our products are free of perfumes, dyes, and common allergens. Dermatologist tested.
- pH balanced: Formulations match the normal vaginal pH around 3.5-4.5 to avoid disruption.
- Glycerin/paraben free: We avoid ingredients like glycerin and parabens that can promote infection and irritation.
